Zaxcom’s BlueFin is an aerodynamic 8db high gain directional antenna designed
for use between the 500MHz and 750 MHz. The antenna provides a low VSWR for use
as a receiving and transmitting antenna. It offers 8 dB of forward gain and
attenuation of interfering signals that are coming from all directions greater
than 45 degrees off the front of the BlueFin antenna.
Use of the BlueFin directional antenna will greatly improve the reliability
and range of all wireless microphones over omni-directional dipole or whip type
antennas. The antenna is connected via a BNC connector.
Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system.
Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to
certain restrictions: The system may not cause harmful interference; it must
operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no
protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should
also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone
