I own 2 pairs,. I use these for live recordings. Excellent at excluding external sound though can get some low freq. bleed. They are great at helping to isolate from the room sound without turning the volume up to painful levels. Very comfortable. i've had them on no-stop for an hour or more with no discomfort. I find that the sound from simple stereo mic pairs is true to the actual sound and acoustics of the space. No bass or high-frequency hype..
