The DPA 4097 Interview Kit includes a 4097 Core Micro Shotgun Microphone, 1.8 m (5.9 ft) Microdot Extension Cable (CM2218B00), Transmitter Plate, Cold Shoe Mount with standard 1/4 in thread (CS4099), Rycote Windjammer, amd Manfrotto Telescope Boom.

The DPA 4097 Core Micro Shotgun Microphone is a miniature supercardioid mic with 4" gooseneck and Microdot connector (adaptor required).  It's designed to meet film sound engineers' needs with a built-in shock mount and small form factor. It can be mounted inconspicuously on a small transmitter via one of DPA's matching adapters, making it extremely fast to set up and easy to position towards the talent.

Using a supercardioid polar pattern, the DPA 4097 Core Mic offers a highly-directional pick-up pattern as well as low self-noise and high sensitivity. Off-axis dialogue and background noise preserves its audio quality, but drops in level. 

The mic also features a linear response with low distortion and an extremely large dynamic range. It is capable of handling high SPLs, allowing the delivery of undistorted, natural sound even when users speak loudly or yell. It sounds great no matter how challenging the environment. 

 The high rejection, well-known off-axis response and natural sound make the recordings easy to blend with other signals during post production.
