With 32-bit float recording, your levels have a lot of leeway. The H6essential captures every nuance of your sound ensuring high-quality audio with every take.

The H6essential supports SDXC cards up to 1TB to record hours and hours of audio.

Zoom's First Recorders with Accessibility
The Essential Series was designed with accessibility for the blind and visually impaired. Navigate the menu with audible descriptions through the built-in speaker or headphones. Creators can choose English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian or Chinese.

Microphones and Mixer

The included XYH-6e Stereo Mic Capsule adds two high-quality microphones in a X/Y stereo arrangement. This arrangement is most sensitive to audio directly in front while also capturing a clean stereo image up to 135 dB SPL, equivalent to a jet taking off..

When the pn-board mic is not needed, detach the capsule and use the included cap for a low profile setup

The four XLR/TRS combo inputs feature Zoom’s ultra-clean preamps that supports phantom power and +4dBu professional line level input.

Use the built-in mixer to easily adjust each track’s audio level. It also has a waveform display so you can see your audio as it records.

Record and Stream
Stream in 32-bit float while simultaneously recording to an SD card. When connected to a PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device using the USB-C Port, the H4essential can be used as a 4-in/2-out audio interface.

Built-in Speaker
Use the built-in speaker to listen to your recordings for quick reference.

Audio Output
Use the 3.5mm output to connect to a camera or plug in headphones to monitor audio.

Vivid LCD Screen
The full-color LCD screen makes it easy to navigate through the H4essential’s menu and functions. The H6essential has a waveform display so you can see your audio as it records.

Soft Touch Controls
Recording and rotary controls have been meticulously designed to allow for quiet operation.

Bluetooth Pairing with BTA-1 Bluetooth Adapter (sold separately)
Use the BTA-1 Bluetooth Adapter to pair with your iOS device to remotely hit record, adjust your mix, view your waveforms, and change settings.

With the BTA-1, you can also pair with Bluetooth time code devices for audio and video sync.
