Set a New Record

Lectrosonics is introducing two new wideband SM transmitters: the SMWB (powered by a single AA battery) and the SMDWB (powered by two AA batteries). These new transmitters have a similar look and feel to previous SM Series units, but add wideband tuning and the ability to act either as a transmitter or as a bodypack recorder. Please note that these functions cannot be used simultaneously.

The SMWB and SMDWB units tune across three standard frequency blocks and are available in wideband block A1 (470-537 MHz), B1 (537-614 MHz), or C1 (614 - 691 MHz).

RF power is selectable at 100, 50, or 25 mW.

The units can be configured as either a transmitter or a bodypack recorder. The audio files are recorded to a MicroSD card in the industry standard Broadcast Wave format at 24 bits, 44.1 kHz sample rate. The MicroSD memory card can also be used to update firmware in the field.

The SMWB and SMDWB feature the standard Lectrosonics TA5 connector with servo-bias mic input and are compatible with lavalier microphones wired for other TA5 input Lectrosonics transmitters.

An IR port is included to allow for quick setup when using any IR equipped receiver such as the LR, SRc, or Venue 2. This allows for easy integration with a larger wireless system using Wireless Designer software for frequency management and system monitoring.

The units feature the same larger, backlit LCD found on other recent Lectrosonics transmitters.
